Challenge: Create technology driven conference rooms, training rooms, and a communications network for 3,000 employees in the largest building in Philadelphia while it is being constructed.

Solution: Build 100+ A/V-enabled spaces and a building-wide digital signage system with the latest technology.

Results: Increased productivity, more efficient training system, company-wide news distribution, and a new tourist attraction.

Organization

Comcast Corporation is the largest cable television provider, the 2nd largest internet service provider, and 3rd largest phone company in North America, employing over 100,000 individuals in their 300+ offices.

Display Walls

VCA constructed Comcast's 14 panel video wall on the 42nd floor and supplied the video feeds to all of the display solutions in the building. The curved wall utilizes thin, no-bezel LCD's to create the display system.

Digital Signage

The Comcast Center contains a ubiquitous digital signage network with over 1000 individual displays throughout the building and in all of the elevators. These displays are driven by a C-nario Digital Signage system, designed and implemented by VCA. Digital Signage is one of the main components of the Comcast Center's 2-floor Cafeteria space, with daily menu changes all controlled by C-nario systems. A custom C-nario program also pulls content from Comcast's cable network to feed MPEG-2 streams throughout the building. The system also provides employees with the latest company news and travel advisories for their commute home.
