As a kid I, was fascinated by animals and could often be found taking care of animals I had "rescued" from the woods around my house. As I grew I gravitated towards jobs that fulfilled my love for animals- I became the chicken caretaker at our local farm, the go-to pet sitter for our neighborhood, and eventually, a kennel attendant at a veterinary clinic when I got old enough. Shadowing my family's veterinarian in high school convinced me to make veterinary medicine a career. After college, I attended Iowa State University where I received my DVM in 2017. Following veterinary school, I joined the Army Veterinary Corps where I worked as a veterinarian in Colorado and Nebraska for the last few years. I moved to Iowa in 2021 and am excited to join the team at VCA Edgewood Animal Hospital!
